ProTee golf simulators
ProTee builds overhead photometric launch monitors for fixed installations. The VX mounts within a narrow ceiling band, which makes it one of the few units where a ceiling can be too high as well as too low.
ProTee launch monitors we track
| Launch monitor | Sits | Sensor | Ceiling | Room depth | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ProTee VX | Overhead | Camera | 9 ft to 10 ft | 13 ft | $6,500 | Check price |
Room depth is the minimum this unit can work in, counting clearance behind the screen, ball flight and the space the sensor itself needs. A dash means the maker does not publish that figure, never that we guessed it. Each unit’s page lists its sources and the date they were read.

Every ProTee unit we track mount overhead, so they consume no floor space at all, and nothing needs repositioning between right and left handed golfers. The trade is a fixed mount height band and a ceiling you have to be able to drill into.
What ProTee tells you before you buy
ProTee publishes some of it and leaves the rest to retailers and forums.
| Published for | Of 1 model |
|---|---|
| Minimum ceiling height | 0 of 1 |
| Ball flight needed to the screen | 0 of 1 |
| Where the sensor physically sits | 1 of 1 |
| A list price | 1 of 1 |
Where a maker publishes nothing we do not borrow a number. The unit is checked against our own 8 ft floor and the row says so, which is the whole method set out on how we verify.
Will a ProTee fit your room?
Ceiling height and room depth decide this more than budget does, and the answer differs across ProTee’s own range because the sensors do not all sit in the same place.

Room figures are the retailer’s own published minimum for that package, not our arithmetic. Where a retailer publishes none we fall back to checking the launch monitor and the enclosure separately and say so. We show one price and never a struck-through one, because a was-price is a claim about the past that we cannot check. Prices move often, so treat these as the figure on the date each package cites.

Common questions
Can a ceiling be too high for a ProTee VX?+
Yes. The VX mounts inside a 9 to 10 ft window above the hitting surface. Above that it needs an extender mount to bring the sensor down into range, which is a solvable problem rather than a reason to rule the unit out.
