- Right and left handed golfers share the bay. Nothing needs repositioning between them.
- Floor space is tight. Hanging forward of the tee, it consumes none.
- You are building a permanent room rather than a setup that packs away.
Look elsewhere if
- You cannot fix into the ceiling, or you rent.
- Your ceiling sits outside the mount band. Too low rules it out, and too high needs a drop mount, which is a cost and a job.
- You wanted to take it to the range. This one is an indoor unit.

Measuring to the finished ceiling instead of the mount point
The band is measured from the hitting surface to the sensor. A duct, a joist or a light in the way changes where the unit can actually hang, and that is the number that matters.
Buying before checking you can fix into the structure
These bolt to a joist and are heavy. A ceiling you cannot drill, or joists running the wrong way, turns a straightforward install into a framing job.
Budgeting for the sensor alone

Measuring to the wall instead of to the obstruction

The 9 to 10 ft mount window is still pending confirmation on proteegroup.com. Because the space source is a retailer rather than ProTee, the calculator marks a ceiling outside that window as tight rather than ruling the unit out. Being ceiling mounted, it needs no repositioning between right and left handed golfers.
