Golf launch monitors

The short answer

The single most useful thing to know about a launch monitor is where it sits. Radar units go behind the ball and need six to nine feet back there. Camera units sit beside the ball and need almost none. Overhead units use no floor at all but have to hang inside a fixed height band. That decides whether a unit fits your room far more than its price does.

Room depth is the minimum this unit can work in, counting clearance behind the screen, ball flight and the space the sensor itself needs. A dash means the maker does not publish that figure, never that we guessed it. Each unit’s page lists its sources and the date they were read.
