What to check before you commit
Check whether a projector is actually included
Several packages list it as a configurable line item rather than an inclusion, so two bundles at the same headline price can contain different things. Read the components before comparing.
Check whether a computer is required
Course play on most third-party software needs a PC that is rarely in the box. That is a real cost sitting outside the package price.
Compare the five year total, not the sticker
A cheaper bundle around a sensor on an annual plan can cost more by year three than a dearer one that needs no subscription.

- Assuming the room figures are interchangeable. They are the vendor’s own and they differ.
- Buying the sensor separately to save money and ending up with parts that do not fit each other.

What does a golf simulator package usually include?+
At minimum a launch monitor, an enclosure with an impact screen, and a hitting mat. Projectors and computers are often configurable rather than included, so check the line items before comparing two prices.
Are simulator packages cheaper than buying the parts separately?+
Usually yes, and more importantly the parts are sized to each other. Buying piecemeal is where people end up with a screen too wide for the room or a projector with the wrong throw ratio for the distance they can actually mount at.
What is usually not included in a golf simulator package?+
Simulation software and a computer, most often. Many packages ship the enclosure, screen, mat and sensor and then leave course play to a separate subscription and a PC you supply. Check those two line items before comparing two prices.
