Golf simulator software
The short answer
Compatibility is published by the software makers, not by the launch monitor manufacturers. That is a small detail with a real consequence: the authoritative answer to whether your sensor works with a given title lives on the software company’s site, and it can change without the sensor maker updating anything.
The main titles
GSPro has become the enthusiast default, largely because its course library is community built and keeps growing. It publishes its own supported device list, and some sensors need a particular subscription tier from their maker before GSPro will connect.
E6 Connect is the broadest in device support and the one most often bundled into packages. If you are buying a complete package, this is frequently what comes with it.
FSX Play and FSX 2020 are Foresight's own titles, and they are also the route by which Foresight hardware reaches some third party software.
The maker’s own app is what ships in the box. It is usually enough to hit balls onto a range and not enough to play a course, which is where the subscription conversation starts. See the subscription cost guide.
What we have confirmed
Read from the software vendors rather than from marketing pages. A dash means we have not confirmed it, not that it does not work.

Each launch monitor’s page cites the source for its compatibility and the date it was read. Where a connection requires an upgraded tier from the sensor maker, that is noted there too.
Common questions
What is the best golf simulator software?+
It depends more on what your launch monitor supports than on the software itself. GSPro is widely favoured for its course library and community-built courses, E6 Connect is the broadest in device support, and Foresight units run FSX. Check what your sensor connects to before choosing.
Does GSPro work with any launch monitor?+
No. GSPro publishes its own list of supported devices, and some connections require a particular tier from the sensor maker rather than working out of the box. That list is maintained by GSPro rather than by the launch monitor manufacturers, which is why compatibility is best checked on the software side.
Is simulator software included when you buy a launch monitor?+
Usually only the maker’s own app, and often only its basic tier. Third party titles are almost always a separate purchase or subscription, and some launch monitors require an upgraded plan of their own before third party software will connect at all.
